A tumult game, open alpha
Fingerspurt
Fingerspurt is a tap racing game for your phone. You sprint 100, 200 or 400 metres by tapping your own runner, and a sloppy tap sends you off course. The track is full of wild hurdles that can flip a race in the last second.
Free right now. It runs straight in the browser on iPhone and Android, so there is nothing to install.

Almost there: the finish gate
Why it is fun
Everyone in the same room
One person creates a room and shares a four-character code or a link. Up to 16 can race, each on their own phone, and you do not have to be in the same place. On your own, run a time trial.
A tap that matters
Hit your runner dead centre for full speed. Tap off-centre and you get less speed and slide sideways, and run into the edge and you fall over. Six precise taps in a row charge a dash.
100, 200 or 400 metres
Pick a quick sprint or a longer fight. 100 metres takes about 20 to 30 seconds, so a race starts fast and is over fast.
Hurdles with chaos
The plates on the track can make you big or small, put you on a skateboard, roll a boulder in from behind the pack, swap your place with another runner or drop an elephant from the sky. It is allowed to be unfair, as long as the whole room can see what happened. Afterwards everyone watches the replay together.
